Official Rules and Regulations of the NBC Sports Fantasy Football Championship Satellite Leagues
1. Overview: The NBC Sports Fantasy Football Championship Satellite Leagues will consist of 12 teams/managers. All prizes for the NBC Sports FFC Satellite Leagues will be league-only, there is not an overall contest for the satellite leagues. The NBC Sports Satellite League regular season will begin with all Week 1 NFL games (including results from the Thursday, Sept. 4th game) and through all Week 13 games. Teams will play every other team in their league once in head-to-head competition, with the team with the best overall record and the team with the most total points (not counting h2h champion) earning playoff spots. The team with the next best record and the team with the next highest total points also advance to the playoffs. The four playoff teams from each satellite league will carry their weekly scoring average from the regular season into the playoffs and add that to their totals from Weeks 14, 15 and 16 to determine the top three finishers in each league. The regular season head-to-head champion will earn its entry fee back in each $250, $500 and $1,000 league, while the team with the most total points during the regular season (it can be the same team) will also earn back its entry fee after Week 13. The $150 Winner-Take-All leagues and all of the Draft Champions Leagues are the only leagues where scoring totals from the first 16 weeks of the NFFC season will be added, with the top teams winning prizes according to their individual setups (see Prizes link for details). Draft Champions Satellite Leagues are unique to our format and the rules for those can be found under the Draft Champions link.

2. Draft: All Satellite Leagues will hold their drafts online at www.MockDraftCentral.com and each owner will get a free pass to use that site. Each league will be comprised of 12 teams, and each draft will last for 20 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion using 3 RR (3rd Round Reversal). All NBC Sports Satellite leagues will use 3RR (3rd Round Reversal) in 2008, meaning that the draft order will go 1 to 12 in Round 1, 12 to 1 in Round 2 and back down to 12 to start Round 3 before continuing in serpentine fashion after that. Players can be drafted at any position at any time in the draft, but each team must have at least one player for each of the designated starting positions by the end of the draft. Each team must start a weekly lineup of 10 players and the team roster must remain at 20 players; there are no injured reserve lists beyond the team total of 20.
3. No Trading: Trading is not allowed during the NBC Sports FFC season and owners are not allowed to trade draft picks.

7. Free Agent Acquisitions: Any player who is not on a team roster within your league is considered a free agent for that league. The free agent system will be a "blind bidding" process for each individual league (Free Agent Acquisition Bidding or FAAB). Each team will start with a $1,000 FAAB budget, and will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis through Week 13. Only the winning and runner-up bids for each player in each league will be shown. The team with the highest bid on any given player will be awarded that player. The amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning team’s free agent dollars. For each winning bid, the winning team must drop a player to make roster room for the free agent acquisition. If a team's free agent dollars goes to zero, that team will no longer be allowed to bid for the rest of the season. No bid will be accepted that is larger than a team's free agent dollars. All bids must be in increments of dollars (no cents).
8. The Draft: The draft will be held on MockDraftCentral.com during the months of June, July and August. The draft will be held in a serpentine fashion for each round using 3RR (1-12 in Round 1, 12-1 in Round 2, 12-1 in Round 3, 1-12 in Round 4 and continuing from there in serpentine fashion).

If you are submitting by phone, you must submit your bids by 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Rosters will be updated by 10 p.m. ET Friday with the results of all successful bids. There are no FAAB pickups in Weeks 14 through 16 during the NFFC Championship Round and NFFC Consolation Round. All winning FAAB bids on Nov. 19 and 26 are final at that time, even if a scoring change is made after that which would affect tied winning bids.

The top six teams in scoring for each of those weeks will earn a “win” and the six lowest scoring teams for that week will earn a “loss.” The League champions will be determined at the conclusion of week 13 according to the scoring criteria set forth in Rule 7; (3) a championship round in which the top four teams from each league will compete (week 14-16) to determine the overall Championship winner.
